Mod Loader/Reference/Garment starter
This pack adds Night Bodice, a variation of the game's Split Crew Neck Bodice. It keeps both base patterns, gives the second one a separate sketch, and adds a Stargazer tag.
Install the example
Install the Stargazer Bodice ZIP through Mod Manager, or copy examples/garment-starter into Dressmaker/Mods. Restart the game and look for Night Bodice in the sketchbook.

The icon is 256 by 256 pixels. The sketches are 512 by 512. The manifest points to the first sketch for the first pattern and overrides the second with back-sketch.png.
The garment entry
These are the tag and garment definitions from the example's mod.json:
{
"id": "example.garment-starter",
"name": "Stargazer Bodice",
"author": "Yuuma",
"version": "1.0.0",
"icon": "icon.png",
"garmentTags": [
{ "id": "Stargazer", "name": "Stargazer" }
],
"garmentComponents": [
{
"id": "night-bodice",
"name": "Night Bodice",
"baseComponent": "Split Crew Neck Bodice",
"icon": "icon.png",
"sketch": "sketch.png",
"variants": [
{ "baseVariant": 0 },
{ "baseVariant": 1, "sketch": "back-sketch.png" }
],
"replaceTags": true,
"tagWeights": [
{ "tag": "Stargazer", "weight": 12 },
{ "tag": "Elegant", "weight": 3 }
],
"notes": "A fitted bodice with a night-sky sketch. Uses the base pattern panels."
}
]
}
To make a pack of your own, change the pack ID and piece ID, then replace the images and edit the tags. Keep those IDs when you publish updates; saved dresses use them to find their garment pieces.
The component ID saved by the game is example.garment-starter.night-bodice. The tag ID is example.garment-starter.Stargazer. With replaceTags: true, the base tag weights are dropped and only the two listed weights apply.
More fields
For panel meshes, field meanings, tag behavior, and the C# registration methods, see Garment fields. The game writes native garment IDs to BepInEx/config/DressmakerMods/garment-reference.json when it starts.
